Fervent fans of New York Times bestselling author Lauren Kate got their chance to meet face-to-face with the young adult fiction author when she made a special appearance at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store on Saturday, 9th July 2011!

Exuding her professionalism and confidence in a friendly manner, Lauren Kate shared that it was her educational experiences of biblical studies during her school days, which sparked her interested to start writing the Fallen series. Sharing fondly about the characters in her books, she also related anecdotes of people she knew since high school, and explained how she drew references from them and incorporated them into the series.

Fans of Lauren Kate who were present during the event also got to hear from the author about the fourth and final installment to the Fallen series titled Rapture, when she spoke briefly about it. During a short Question-And-Answer session, Lauren Kate also revealed that a deal has been signed with Disney for the Fallen series to be made into a movie, causing more excitement among the audience.

Many in the audience took this rare opportunity to purchase the author’s books and got her to autograph them on the spot. Feeling at ease while signing the books for her fans and answering each of their questions, Lauren Kate was also more than happy to take pictures with them upon their request. With a friendly attitude, the author’s interaction with her fans certainly delighted them as they went away looking contented.
