Dr. Leslie Tay came by to Books Kinokuniya and shared with us more about his bestselling book in a Meet-The-Author session.
Peppered with humour and Singaporean anecdotes, Dr. Leslie Tay’s enticing talk on local food which encompassed topics such as sourcing for good hawker food, making roti prata as well as food photography proved to be interesting subjects among the audience. It was also observed that many of the teenagers who were around the events area became increasingly enthusiastic and interested to listen to the author when he shared tips on food photography as they could relate to the topic. With a strong following on Dr. Leslie Tay’s Facebook and blog, it wasn’t surprising to see many of his fans turning up for the event to support the author. The tantalizing images of local dishes that were shown on screen also helped in drawing attention from the crowd, thus contributing to the good turnout and making the event a success. |
