Book Launch: Rainbow Bear's Dinosaur Discovery: An Adventure in Blends and Digraphs by Julia Gabriel
Following from her first picture book titled An Alphabet Zoo: Phonemic Adventure with Rainbow Bear, Julia Gabriel, who is well known for her contribution to literacy and the arts in Singapore, has since then created a second picture book titled Rainbow Bear's Dinosaur Discovery: An Adventure in Blends and Digraphs.

In conjunction with the launch of the new Amos Lee television series – The Diary Of Amos Lee, on MediaCorp’s Okto channel, local best-selling author Adeline Foo has penned and launched a new Amos Lee book titled The Diary Of Amos Lee: Your D.I.Y Toilet Diary to Fame to give her fans a double treat during the start of this new year!

 

Talk: The French in Singapore
Some customers including francophiles were taken on an interesting learning journey at a talk by teachers and authors Maxime Pilon and Danielle Weiler at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store on Saturday, 21st January 2012, where it was revealed that the Ayam brand of canned sardines and tuna was in fact started off by a French national, Alfred Clouet in the 1890s.

 

Meet-The-DIRECTOR : Stephen Earnhart of The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle Theatre Production
In collaboration with the National Arts Council, Books Kinokuniya was proud to host an up-close-and-personal session with Stephen Earnhart, director of The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle theatre production on Wednesday evening, 30th November 2011 at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle theatre production is scheduled to be staged during the 2012 Singapore Arts Festival.

 

Meet-The-Author: Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan of A Tiger In The Kitchen
Held as a fringe event to the 2011 Singapore Writers Festival, the Meet-The-Author session with US-based Singaporean author Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store on Saturday, 29th October 2011 generated an encouraging number of customers who were interested to hear her speak on her book A Tiger In The Kitchen.

Customers at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store were in for an entertaining treat when popular local comedian Kumar and former journalist Ivan Lim joined us for a book-signing event for the comedian’s biography Kumar: From Rags To Drag on Saturday, 29th October 2011.
