Eager children finally got their hands on the third and latest book to The Diary Of Amos Lee series when the award-winning author of Singapore’s bestselling children’s series Adeline Foo and illustrator Stephanie Wong came to Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store to launch their latest title, The Diary Of Amos Lee: I’m Twelve, I’m Tough, I Tweet! The atmosphere at the Crossroads was filled with anticipation even before the start of the event. During the book launch, enthusiastic children and parents alike listened to both the author and illustrator share about their working experiences on the series. Adeline Foo also revealed how she was inspired by her son’s stories about his peers at school to come up with the concept of The Diary of Amos Lee. Following this, a book signing session was conducted, and everyone at the event who bought the books managed to get their copies signed. Adeline Foo was thrilled when she recognized familiar names of children who have previously written to her, and was delighted that they came for the book launch. This successful event has brought enjoyment and smiles to the customers at Books Kinokuniya. Such children’s events also encourage more people to start reading at a younger age and we definitely advocate this. Moving forward, we will certainly work towards bringing more of such events to our stores in the future! |
