Customers were in for a treat when The A Cappella Society of Singapore presented two thirty-minute lunchtime performances at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store, in conjunction with the International A Cappella Festival 2010. Two five-part male a cappella vocal groups - Suade from Australia and A-Five from Korea, delighted the crowd with their powerful vocals and enthusiasm during their respective performances.

Not your regular A Cappella singers, Suade intertwined their singing with a variety of stand-up comedy acts, bringing much laughter and cheers from the audience. They covered a total of seven numbers in the thirty-minute performance, with songs ranging from gospels to Australia's national anthem to pop songs by Billy Joel as well as a song from the group Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody.

A-Five on the other hand mesmerized the crowd with their medley of familiar Disney tunes including The Beauty and the Beast theme song as well as The Lion Sleeps Tonight. They also belted out familiar catchy pop Korean hits such as Nobody by The Wonder Girls, which proved to be a hit especially with the teenage girls in the crowd.

Both sessions have certainly brought entertainment and enjoyment to the customers at Books Kinokuniya, and we definitely look forward to more of such entertaining events in the future!
