Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store, Crossroads
It was truly an exciting afternoon at Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store on Saturday, 25th September 2010 when the three designers of Choi! Touchwood! were here to launch their new illustration book that takes you on a whirlwind journey into the world of Chinese superstition at the heart of Singapore's Chinatown. The designers - Jesvin Yeo, Liew Jie Ni and Alvin Ng, who are passionate about putting together a bit of history of Singapore into a comprehensive book, were here to share on their ‘baby' that took them a couple of years to conceptualize and research on.

The three designers' family, friends and supporters came in almost full-force and jazzed up the event with their energy, enthusiasm and active participation throughout the event. The liveliness generated during the event also brought further attention and interest to the book from customers who were around the events area, and as a result, they were enticed to linger around to learn more about Singapore's Chinatown through this beautifully-designed book.

In no time, the books flew off the shelves and were eventually sold out during the hour-long event. This remarkable achievement has certainly set the sales momentum for this unusual book effort, which counts tourists, designers and young Singaporeans interested in Chinese traditions and superstitions as targeted readers.
